Regular monthly meetings held

The seven women’s organizations held their monthly meetings regularly from April to June 2023, for a total of 21 meetings. There was a total of 1,720 members from the women’s organizations in the seven project areas who attended the meetings. One of the monthly meetings was the annual general assembly of the organization.

The meetings assessed the first quarter of the year of January to March 2023, planned on the activities of the second quarter including seminars to be conducted, and finalized the list of new members. There were also discussions regarding the ongoing livelihood projects that would generate income for the organizations.

The different committees, namely, health and education committee, livelihood and finance committee and disaster and violence against women and children (VAWC) committee also met once a month and pursued their activities.

The meetings also had updates on the Minglanilla Reclamation Project, the planned road widening of two roads leading to Calajoan and Tungkil, and the construction of a boardwalk at/or near the foreshore areas of Calajoan and Tungkil.
