Regular monthly meetings of the seven women’s organizations were conducted from April to June 2021. The meetings consolidated their membership and achieved a common understanding of the issues and problems magnified during the pandemic. The meetings discussed the project activities and planned on their smooth implementation as well as assessed them after they were implemented.
During the monthly meetings, the WRCV project staff also assisted the officers in reviewing the tasks and functions of each of their committees, establishing a system for organization to keep track of its members, keeping the minutes of the meeting, facilitating consultations with members, and monitoring and assisting victims of violence against women and children (VAWC) cases, among others. The three committees include the following, health and education committee, livelihood and finance committee, and disaster and VAWC committee. Each of these committees is headed by one of the officers of the organization.
The regular monthly meetings further strengthened the organizations and enabled the members to keep abreast with the developments of each other and enhanced their relationship with one another. They also assessed their project activities and enabled them to gain lessons and preserve their gains.
