Women's Resource Center of Visayas, Inc. (WRCV)

Regular Monthly Meetings

The seven women’s organizations held their monthly meetings regularly from July to
September 2023.

The meetings discussed and planned about the organization’s meetings, activities of the
local government units involving their organizations, updated the list of their members,
collected monthly dues, and other concerns.

The different committees, namely, health and education committee, livelihood and
finance committee and disaster and violence against women and children (VAWC) committee
also met once a month and pursued their activities.

The regular monthly meetings were very good opportunities for the members to collectively
talk about their current issues affecting them and social issues affecting their communities and
the country, including infrastructure projects, demolition of houses and dislocation of
livelihoods. The women have become more articulate and vocal in speaking out against what
they view as violations of their rights.
